'When I was asked to do this I was like if I was going to sing in honour of these children I need to know who they are, so I looked up every single child and I wanted to learn their story, which I probably shouldn't of done because it made me overly emotional.
'So I had to really try to put everything out of my head so I didn't get out there and start balling.
'At the beginning I was slightly emotional and I was like "please pull it back" because I wanted to get through the moment.'
