But after filling her suitcase with gongs the Les Miserables star finally landed back home in New York on Wednesday.
Still glowing from her Oscar win, Anne Hathaway was spotted arriving at New York's JFK Airport Wednesday alongside her husband Adam Shulman.
The 30-year-old starlet flaunted her slim pins in a navy coat, plaid scarf, and black riding boots.
Her 31-year-old beau hauled a small luggage trolly in his grey jumper under a navy coat, grey trousers, and plimsolls.
Many speculate that Anne and Adam are planning to start a family now that she is taking a career break.
'I’d like to have a few children, naturally and adopt,' the Les Misérables actress told Harper’s Bazaar UK.
'I gotta get on it...I’d like to have as many as I can afford.
'I’ve had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie. Now I might have to say: "Get a baby."'
The lovebirds are already parents to beloved pooch Esmeralda, which is normally considered a 'test run' for most couples before baby.
'I'll be hosting lots of dinners at my house,' she said. 'We're nesting, playing with my dog - we're chilling.'
And while Hathaway's life is in bloom, her con-man ex Raffaello Follieri is begging for a pardon from President Barack Obama so he can return to the US for his business dealings.
Follieri served four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering in October 2008.
Raffaello said at the time he had 'no excuses' for his Vati-Con scheme, pretending to be the Vatican's chief financial officer, and owing more than $3.6 million to investors.
Hathaway was forced to hand over her private journals and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry to authorities, but she was not charged with any crime.
The Princess Diaries star won't appear on the big screen again until she lends her voice for next year's animated sequel, Rio 2.
