No-nonsense approach: Jo Frost has been criticised for her views on when a child should be moved from a cot to a bed
No-nonsense approach: Jo Frost has been criticised for her views on when a child should be moved from a cot to a bed
She can rein in the unruliest of toddlers, tame ugly  tantrums, and – seemingly without effort – has calmed many a nightmarish household overrun by naughty children.
But, as Supernanny Jo Frost has discovered, woe betide anyone who comes between mothers’ groups and their views on certain parenting milestones.
The TV nanny has found herself embroiled in a row after dispensing ‘irresponsible’ and ‘dangerous’ advice on when is best to move one’s toddler from a cot to a full-sized bed.
Miss Frost, whose no-nonsense approach to child-rearing has earned her many fans as well as plenty of detractors, gave the advice in her latest book, saying mothers should wait for as long as possible before making the switchover.
In the book, Jo Frost’s Toddler SOS, the 41-year-old is asked by a parent: ‘At what age do you generally move toddlers from a cot to a bed? It sounds like a stupid question but I have no idea.’
Miss Frost replies: ‘I see no rush unless she’s grown out of it and the cot has become too narrow a space to sleep in. If she’s sleeping well it’s definitely not worth disrupting her.’
The advice has provoked a backlash on parenting forums, including Netmums, with dozens of mothers saying they were shocked and surprised.
One wrote: ‘There is more risk of your child hurting themselves falling whilst clambering over the bars of a cot than there is getting in and out of a toddler bed.’
Another added: ‘I’m shocked that she [Jo Frost] would think it ok to allow a child to climb out of a cot. My eldest did it at 17 months and fell head first, she could have had a nasty injury.’
Controversy: Miss Frost, a profsesional nanny, made her debut in 2004 on the Channel 4's Supernanny
Controversy: Miss Frost, a profsesional nanny, made her debut in 2004 on the Channel 4's Supernanny
‘This is one time when you need to ignore Jo Frost and trust your own instincts,’ another posted.
Miss Frost, a professional nanny, made her debut in 2004 on Channel 4’s Supernanny, a reality show in which she is called in to family homes and assists parents who are struggling with their children’s behaviour.

Some of her methods have provoked debate in the past, such as banishing unruly children to a ‘naughty step’ – with some experts claiming this could cause emotional damage – or ‘coaching’ them to fall asleep by leaving them to cry.
Clare Byam-Cook, a former midwife and celebrity anti-natal coach, yesterday expressed surprise over the star’s latest piece of advice.
She said the general consensus is that children are moved at around the age of two because this is when they run the risk of climbing out of a cot and risking injury.
Mrs Byam-Cook, whose clients have included Helena Bonham Carter and Kate Winslet, added: ‘I am amazed she should say that because the point is once a child can start climbing out of a cot you risk them climbing out and falling.’
Delaying the move too long can cause other problems, she added. ‘Most people have two-year gap between children and the last thing you want is to have a new baby needing to transition from Moses basket into a cot and have the cot still occupied by a toddler,’ said Mrs Byam-Cook.
‘Then if you try and move the toddler out of the cot you’re going to have an unhappy toddler who thinks that he is being moved into his own bed for your convenience rather than because he’s become a grown up.’
Miss Frost based her argument on the belief that moving a child from his or her cot too early could prompt juvenile sleep problems.
‘I’m a huge admirer of hers,’ Mrs Byam-Cook said, but added: ‘Of course, Jo meets children of all ages in her problem solving but perhaps something like safety of babies doesn’t register highly in her experience.’

For a nation conscious of limited resources like Sweden, investing in 'eco' product development seems a fail-safe business strategy.
It worked for Ikea.
Now luxury intimate lifestyle company LELO has looked to its Swedish roots and is marketing a flat-pack, fully recycled vibrator promising to 'take the meaning of do-it-yourself pleasure to a whole new level'.

The GÓ’SM, LELO's 'Cleanest, Greenest Vibe', is apparently made from 100% recycled materials, including compressed wood pulp and recycled rubber, and comes in a lush shade of forest green.

The GÓ’SM, worth £120, requires you to charge it by hand rotation (Allen key included) and even assemble from scratch - as it arrives in an 8-piece set.
Apparently, this is to 'allow you to take pride in piecing together your pleasure' and 'the money saved on production costs goes directly to you'.
A video on the company's website demonstrates how to assemble the eco-friendly 'personal massager' but bafflingly there are no options to actually buy the thing until April 1st.

They say we all eventually turn in to our parents but there are some things we'd rather not inherit.
Prince Harry, it seems, has begun to lose some hair around his crown, just like his big brother William and their father Charles.
The 28-year-old royal's hair shows signs of thinning in pictures taken on a recent charity trip.

Rapidly thinning: Prince Harry's hair was noticeably thinner as he played with children on a visit in February to Lesotho in southern Africa on behalf of his charity, Sentebale
Pictured during a visit to the Kananelo Centre for the deaf on behalf of his charity, Sentebale, in Lesotho, last month Harry was showing some scalp through his famous ginger locks - indicating the beginnings of male pattern baldness, according to Britain's leading hair loss expert Asim Shahmalak.
Prince William started losing his hair in his early 20s and was noticeably bald by the time he was 25.

The process appears to have started a little later for his younger brother Harry, who nevertheless looks to have inherited his family's baldness gene.
Hair transplant surgeon Dr Shahmalak - hair loss expert on the Channel 4 show Embarrassing Bodies - said the pictures showed clear signs of hair loss. and that Harry is thinning around the crown area.

Disappearing: The 28-year-old royal's hair loss was more pronounced than ever in Lesotho last month

'Around a quarter of men start going bald before the age of 30, so this is hardly a big surprise especially when it runs in the family as it does for the Windsors.
'If Harry's hair loss progresses in the normal way, I would expect him to have a significant bald patch around his crown by the time he is 40. It will be worse if it also spreads to his hairline as it has with his brother.' he said.

'Hair loss can have a devastating impact on a young men like Harry. IIt can shatter their confidence and lead to significant loss of self esteem.'
Dr Shahmalak said that a strong family gene is the most significant factor in the onset of hair loss.
'There is a strong family gene on both sides of Harry's family. He is lucky that it has kicked in a bit later'
Like father, like son: Prince Harry at the Queen's Jubilee last year with Prince Charles, left, who is also suffering from thinning hair. 'There is a strong family gene on both sides of Harry's family,' hair specialist Dr Shahmalak said

Prince Harry's father, Prince Charles, his grandfather Prince Philip and both his uncles, Princes Andrew and Edward, have significant hair loss.
And the gene is prominent on his mother's side, too: Princess Diana's father Earl Spencer was bald.
Dr Shahmalak said: 'There is a strong family gene on both sides of Harry's family. He is lucky that it has kicked in a bit later than his brother William - but the signs are not good for Harry.'
But he said there were simple measures Harry could take to combat his hair loss.
'I would strongly urge him to act now,' said Dr Shahmalak.

'The best remedy at this stage is for Harry to start taking Propecia which won't replace the hair which he has already lost but will help to stop him losing any more. If William had started using the drug at the same age he could have significantly slowed down his hair loss.
'The other solution would be for Harry to use Minoxidil, the only other clinically proven hair loss medication available.
'You can buy a mousse which you apply to the thinning areas of the scalp.
'But the only long-term solution is a hair transplant - where hair is moved from the back or sides of the scalp to bald areas such as the crown.'
Dr Shahmalak said the stigma around seeking treatment for hair loss had largely gone, thanks to high profile hair transplant patients like Wayne Rooney and James Nesbitt.

He said: 'Wayne Rooney was brave to go public about his hair transplant and show that he was not embarrassed to seek help for his hair loss.
'The stigma around seeking treatment has been removed. It would send out a great signal to other men if a royal would also seek treatment.
'Their options in covering up their baldness are limited. It would be difficult for Prince William, for instance, to shave his head, which is what a lot of men do to hide their baldness. A royal with a crew cut just doesn’t seem right somehow.'
Prince Harry - recently voted the World's Most Eligible Bachelor in a magazine poll - once joked that Prince William was 'already bald aged 12.'
Harry also made fun of Prince William's baldness when commenting about artist Nicky Phillips’ portrait of the princes three years ago.
He said said: 'I'm a little bit more ginger in there than I am in real life, I think,' he said, 'And William has been given more hair.'
On Prince Harry's charity trip to Lesotho, Africa, in  February he met children at a charity on the trip who were urged to teach the young royal the sign language for 'ginger.'
Harry quickly replied: 'What about the word for bald!'
Dr Shahmalak said hair loss before the age of 30 can shatter a man's confidence, particularly around the opposite sex.
He said: 'It can be devastating for a lot of men but I am not sure that will be a problem for Harry.
'He has is a very charismatic young man and has always attracted the attention of beautiful women.'
Harry is currently dating the socialite Cressida Bonas, 24, after they were introduced  by her friend Princess Eugenie at a music festival last May.
Dr Shahmalak's Crown Clinic saw a 25 per cent surge in bookings after Wayne Rooney's transplant.
He has performed hair transplants on a number of celebrities including Dr Christian Jessen from Embarrassing Bodies and Martin Roberts, star of BBC1's Homes Under The Hammer.

She has only so far enjoyed a short career in the modelling world.
But thanks to her reality TV programs, Kendall Jenner is quite the pro when it comes to posing for the camera.

She looked all grown up in a mirrored image of herself, wearing a pair of chic octagonal glasses which accessorised her black strapless dress.
With her long brown locks perfectly coiffed, her face was done up in wing-tipped eyeliner and lashings of pink lipstick.
During the shoot the brand ambassador for Seventeen Magazine still made time for some fun with older sister Khloe Kardashian on the set of her fashion shoot.

But the young woman was not all business as she posed for casual snaps with her older sister Khloe.

And Khloe, 28, appeared to be delighted to spend some quality time with her little sister.
She wrote as a caption for an Instagram picture of the two posing on the hood of a white car: 'I like bad b*****s that's not my only problem boo.'

The playful post referred to the cool posture her younger sister had assumed for the impromptu snap.

Khloe kept it relaxed and easy in a pair of torn skinny jeans and a form-fitting white top.

The older sister had also donned strappy open-toed high healed sandals and aviator sunglasses for the warm day.

The younger of the two went for something a little more summery in her attire.

The fashion designer wore an elegant white summer dress for the sun-filled afternoon in California.

Befitting her age the young lady kept her feet snug in a pair of White Converse All Stars high tops.

But putting a more mature edge on her appearance the model adorned her face with bright red lipstick.

Later the Forever 21 model posed in cut-off jean shorts and an American flag cross-strapped tank top.

The beachwear was displayed in a snap of her and make up artist Rob Scheppy miming dance moves for the camera.

The Instagram post was accompanied by the caption: 'me and @robscheppy gettin our groove on at the shoot #PacsunBaby.'

But the fun and games soon included Twitter references to Khloe's famous curves.

One snap had Khloe backing up her voluptuous derriere into her younger sister with the caption: 'big booty...'

And later Kendall shared on the video site Keek a five second clip of Khloe bouncing her pert bottom to her younger sister's delight.

Kendall could be heard saying 'Go!' signalling to her sibling to dance.

But throughout the performance the teenager's laughter could be heard ending in the compliment: 'I like that.'

The caption for the video was just as playful: 'she like bad b*****s that's her f'ing probleemmmm.'
Sister love: The brand ambassador for Seventeen Magazine posted a snap with the caption 'my gumdrop' affectionately referring to Khloe

In another less provocative Instagram posting Khloe shared a snap of the two with heads pressed together with the simple caption: 'Butter bag.'

The love the two girls share for each was more than obvious throughout the day's shenanigans.

And even more telling was how much pleasure the sisters clearly derive from each others company.

Welcome to the hotel room so exclusive that neither money nor gold can buy a stay and instead lucky guests get selected at random for the privilege.
The special suite is inside the upper levels of the Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Originally it was intended to be an apartment for Walt Disney and his family when they stayed in Florida. Sadly Walt died in 1966 prior to park opening and so it was left unfinished for almost 30 years.

In 2005 the suite was finally completed and upholstered as a 'royal bedchamber', which can sleep up to six people.
What makes the suite so special, a guide tells ABC is ‘it's a “money can't buy experience”. It's so special that money can't buy it, gold can't buy it. You can't make a reservation to stay here, you just have to win.’

During The Year of a Million Dreams in 2007-2008, one-night stays were given away as the grand prize to a family every day. Stays continue to be awarded as prizes for the Disney Sweepstakes competition.
A handful of celebrities have also been lucky enough to be allowed to stay. Kevin and Danielle Jonas spent their first wedding anniversary, while Tom Cruise took daughter Suri last summer.

The suite is located below Cinderella's own bedroom and celebrity guests have included Tom Cruise and daughter Suri
The suite consists of a salon, bedchamber and bathroom off of a private marble-floored foyer.
An exclusive elevator opens to the foyer, where on display are the last remaining glass slipper, Cinderella's coronation crown and scepter and several pumpkins from her collection.
There's even a mosaic of a pumpkin coach inlaid in the floor, which consists of 30,000 Italian tiles.
The bedchamber isn’t large, but finds room for two queen sized beds and a pull-out sofa in the adjacent parlor.
Both the bedchamber and salon are furnished in the style of the era of 'the Louies,' the French rulers of the period that inspired the castle and Cinderella's story.
The deco is rich in detail including nooks showcasing clocks, porcelain and accessories befitting the period. Doors are richly detailed; the walls are covered with wood panels and wall coverings.

In the bathroom, hand-decorated copper basins sit atop the vanity, recalling a time when fresh water was carried to the bedchamber.
Despite all the careful attention to centuries-old details, the amenities of the Cinderella's Castle Suite are definitely 21st century. There's a lavish garden tub plus a shower. There are also wheelchair accessible bathroom and bedroom facilities and elevator access to the suite.
As for an ornately framed, 17th-century-style portrait of Cinderella above a regal fireplace in the bedchamber: it magically changes into a modern, 21st-century flat-screen HDTV.
Also in the den there is a mirror, but can be turned on to reveal another flat-screen. There's even an electric fireplace, with three hidden Mickeys inside.
As well as very traditional design, the suite features modern touches such as a whirlpool tub

From the parlor, guests can view the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks through the window for a completely different vantage point than you would have from the park.
The windows in the parlor are made of stained glass and tell the story of Cinderella's journey from pauper to princess. Staying in the suite also includes access to a 24-hour concierge.
It is known as the Cinderella Castle Suite rather than Cinderella's Suite, because she of course lives upstairs and this room is where her guests stay when they come to visit.
