Pregnant Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans files assault and battery charges against husband of six weeks

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has filed assault charges against her husband of six weeks.
The 21-year-old reality television star, who is pregnant with her second child, accused Courtland Rogers of assault and battery to an unborn child at a North Carolina court on Wednesday morning, her attorney has confirmed.
Rogers has denied the charges while a public war-of-words between the estranged couple escalates.

Evans' attorney, Dustin R.T. Sullivan, told E! News: 'She has taken charges out on Courtland Rogers, her husband. The charges are assault on a female with an unborn child. She made the charges today.'
The website reports Evans filed four counts of misdemenaour assault on a female with an unborn child.
Sullivan did not elaborate on details of the alleged assault, asserting that his client 'was physically assaulted over a period of time.'

 

He alleged the most recent incident occurred on January 21.
A source told RadarOnline.on Wednesday Evans has bruises on her face she claims are from the most recent incident.
Rogers faces a maximum 150 days in jail per charge.
He vehemently denies the claims.

'I did not hit my wife. This is not true at all,' he told Radar.
A public feud erupted between the pair as Evans was hospitalised on January 22 amid the stress of claims Rogers cheated on her.
Taking to Twitter, she vented her fears she would lose her unborn baby in the scare, and claimed rather than comforting her, Rogers decided to leave town.
She tweeted early on Wednesday: 'I am getting a divorce, ASAP. YOU F***ING LEAVE OUT OF TOWN AND I MIGHT BE HAVING A MISCARRIAGE?! F*** U, U F***ING PIECE OF S**T.'
'I’m in shock... Going to chill with an old friend, lmao, finally now that I have freedom back.
She later added: 'And now he just won’t answer the phone.'
News that Evans had been taken to the emergency room emerged on her Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

'Jenelle is hospital bound. I’ll update you guys as soon as I hear something…' read a posting on her Facebook fan page.

Evans had slammed Rogers on Twitter earlier this week, accusing accused him of cheating on her.
The Teen Mom star wrote on her account: 'ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME?!' 
She added the visceral description: 'Heartbroken in half completely.
She then wrote sadly: 'And just to think I fooled myself into thinking I was happy, happiness doesn’t exist it seems like. Just when I’m around my one and only.'
Rogers, who was in court just minutes before Jenelle married him at the same courthouse on December 4, tried to explain what happened.
'I went out last night and got wasted and came home at 3 am and I left my pregnant wife asleep by herself but I didn’t cheat!! I just left.'

He also added: 'She deserves somebody better!! A guy with a job a house and the perseverance to b anything they wanna be I’m a piece of sh*t and I now know!'

But Evans, who is also mother to son Jace (who lives with his grandmother) added: 'Want me to blast what u did? Lmfao don’t think so.'
She then explained: 'It was much worse than that.'
Rogers has since told Radar that his wild ways have caused the couple to temporarily split.

'I f***ed up,' he said. 'I got drunk as f*** and I went out and I left my beautiful pregnant wife at home.'

According to Rogers, Evans lectured him about being responsible.

'Jenelle said I need to straighten out and not drink and not go out and not do dumb stuff anymore,' he said.

'She said she doesn’t want to be with someone who is messing up all the time.'

Just days ago Evans excitedly released a sonogram of her unborn child taken at six weeks.
'Check out my ultrasound picture. I circled where the baby is located since its really hard to see,' she wrote on social networking site Sulia.
'I'm seven weeks now and was six weeks and two days when the ultrasound was done. If you look closely you can see on the bottom left hand corner it tells you how big the baby is and how far along I am. So excited!'
Evans has previously said the pregnancy wasn't planned, telling MTV: 'I missed a few birth control pills, and found out I was pregnant at a doctor's appointment.

'I was really surprised. This wasn't planned, but it happened, so we're taking it as we go. Courtland and I are happy and excited now.'

Rogers announced the baby news in America's Star magazine last week despite the fact Jenelle is only in her first trimester.
Evans lost custody of her son from a previous relationship, Jace, three, to her mother following a string of drug scandals and arrests. Rogers' daughter JaJa is currently in the custody of his ex girlfriend.
