And while the writer and actress has been unjustly criticised for everything from her appearance to her talent, she has managed to adopt a positive attitude about it all.
The 26-year-old virtuoso spoke about her haters both on the internet and in real life when she appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Thursday.

It’s possible that this comment was referencing radio host Howard Stern, who controversially called Lena a ‘talentless little fat chick’ on his show last week, and coincidentally turned 59 just last Saturday.
‘That’s my sort of token line is “I don’t read anything,”’ Lena revealed. ‘But if I’m being honest I read a quarter of things. So I read what I can find. I read like the top three items in Google news.’

‘I’d like to say I don’t read anything, you know you just can’t let it into your artistic process,’ she said. 'But … what you actually do is read half of it and then sit there trying to force it out of the artistic process.’
Thankfully, Lena’s fans both in the industry and in front of the television outnumber her haters, and the star was delighted when she scooped the Best Actress in a Comedy Golden Globe and Girls took home the Best Comedy TV Series gong.
