Her big boy butterfly! Naomi Watts' son Sam shows off pretty painted face on day out with his famous mother

She's been on the silver screen for multiple dramatic roles but Naomi Watts is certainly carefree when it comes to motherhood.
The King Kong actress was spotted out with her sons Sasha and Samuel at the Brentwood Country Mart on Thursday, and it wasn't a typical afternoon trip.
Sammy, four, was snapped with a large pink butterfly painted on his face from his forehead to the top of his jawline.

Sasha, five, didn't get his face painted, but he did get to indulge in another treat.

The two youngsters enjoyed big multicoloured lollipops - almost the size of their faces - as they strolled with their mother out of the market.
Just like mum, the twosome also showed off their pretty blonde locks.
Naomi seemed happy to be spending the afternoon with her children, smiling as she kept a close on them.
As they entered the market, the stunning star held on tight to Sasha's hand.
But once the family left the market, Naomi had her hands full with shopping bags from the market and Sasha was busy holding on tight to his lollipop.
The wife of Liev Schreiber dressed in a long-sleeved, printed peplum-style blouse that she paired with boyfriend denim trousers and strappy sandals.

The day before, Naomi revealed her luscious golden locks after undergoing a quick makeover at a salon in Los Angeles.
Looking rather dishevelled upon entering the salon the Golden Globes nominated actress was soon able to make a last minute dash to the furniture store looking red carpet ready. 
The busy mother of two left her children at home and went solo choosing to treat herself to a day of pampering followed by coffee with a girlfriend at Caffe Luxxe.

Attempting to go incognito in a pair of shades and a loose ponytail she looked a far cry from her usual glamorous self.
It appeared she was keen to get her tresses seen to  as she paced with her head down.
However her new hairdo added an extra pep in her step when leaving as she dashed off to run some last minute errands.
Looking bohemian in a flowery handkerchief top she added a spring pop of colour with a pair of bright skinny jeans.

It seems as though she wasn't quite dressed for the L.A. sunshine as she teamed the look with a tweed blazer and tan boots.
Naomi has been taking time out from the big screen and spending quality time with her family after being spotted on a number of occasions over the last week. sunglasses.
And following the end of the busy awards season, it is back to business as usual for Naomi as she has several films lined up.
Fans of the star can look forward to seeing her take on the role of the late Princess Diana in the upcoming Oliver Hirschbiegel directed biopic Diana.
