'Worst birthday': Justin Bieber turns 19 with the news that Lil Twist was pulled over in his $100,000 Fisker Karma

Justin Bieber's birthday wish this year will no doubt involve finding more responsible friends.

The Canadian pop star, who just turned 19, seems to have discovered that his pal Lil Twist was pulled over by police while driving his Fisker Karma on the 101 Freeway on Friday.

According to TMZ, the 20-year-old rapper - born Christopher Lynn Moore - was flagged by the California Highway Patrol because he made an unsafe lane change.

The deputies let the lane change charge go, but apparently ticketed Bieber's pal for having tinted windows on the plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan, which costs over $100,000.

Justin, who split with Selena Gomez in December, immediately vented his frustration to his 35.2million Twitter followers with the simple phrase: 'Worst birthday.'

Earlier in the day Bieber was far more optimistic, writing: 'Gonna be fun tonight. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. 19!'

This was not the first time the two-time Grammy nominee loaned a luxury vehicle to his friend in vain.

Back on New Year's Day, Lil Twist was stopped by cops while driving Justin's white Ferrari 458 Italia, and a photographer named Chris Guerra subsequently died attempting to capture the moment.

'While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim,' Justin said in a statement after the tragedy.

At the time, Twist also managed to scrape the bottom of the Ferrari on The Four Seasons' driveway causing serious damage to its undercarriage.

Justin celebrated his birthday shopping at Selfridges, dining at Mint Leaf Indian Restaurant, and then hitting up the Cirque Du Soir night club alongside British singer Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke and Jaden Smith in London.

According to E! Online, the circus-themed soiree came to an abrupt halt when a confrontation occurred between his entourage and the club's security.
Bieber and his posse immediately left the club and headed back to their hotel and capped off the disappointing festivities with McDonalds grub at 3am.
Justin, who was also pulled over driving the Fisker Karma in July, is next scheduled to perform at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham Saturday.
