Sheer daring! Julianne Hough flashes the flesh in an elaborate gown which only just protects her modesty at Safe Haven premiere

She may have been wearing an expensive designer gown with elaborate embroidery and detailed beading, but Julianne Hough's dress only just protected her modesty in Hollywood on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old star cut a striking figure in the silver floor length Alberta Ferretti gown which featured see-through panels on her waist and sides and across her behind.
Julianne seemed determined to make an impression at the première of her new film Safe Haven, with her blonde hair teased into an elaborate updo and her eyebrows dramatically darkened.

The star brought boyfriend Ryan Seacrest along to the event at Grauman's Chinese Theatre and happily posed with the American Idol host along with her Safe Haven leading man Josh Duhamel.
Josh sported an electric blue suit and maroon tie, while his girlfriend Fergie arrived in a long sleeved black Gucci dress with gold detail.
The couple, who have been married since 2009 hugged on the red carpet before the film's screening.

Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, Safe Haven tells the story of a mysterious woman named Katie (Hough) who is drawn into reluctant relationships after arriving in a small North Carolina town.
Katie soon begins to fall in love but struggles with a dark secret which still haunts her from her past.
'I knew it was going to be a challenge to play "guarded, mysterious" and have a wall,' Julianne said in a recent interview to promote the film. 'It's like "how boring can you be?"
'So how am I going to make Katie interesting and likeable enough to even make Alex fall in love with her and vice versa? There were a lot of layers to be had.'

Josh plays single father Alex in the movie which he says is very different to other Nicholas Sparks leading men.

'This character is different than, what Channing [Tatum] played in [Dear John], or what Zach [Efron] played before that, or what Ryan [Gosling] did in The Notebook,' he told Pop Sugar. 'They're all different.
'I'm trying not to think about [it]. I'm trying not to compare my performance to anybody else,' he added.

The romantic film, which is released on Valentine's Day, has given the stars food for thought over their own love philosophy.
'It's changed since I was younger,' said Josh. 'But to me, it's not just about the making your heart go all aflutter or having this undying need to be next to the person all the time.
'It's about whether or not you genuinely like the person.'

Julianne and Josh were joined by a slew of stars on Tuesday's red carpet including Ashley Simpson who sported an edgy purple streak in her hair.
Derek Hough, Julianne's older brother, also arrived to show his support along with his fellow Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd who looked dazzling in a bright pink gown.
Meanwhile, Shahs of Sunset star Lilly Ghalichi left little to the imagination in her plunging black gown, while Real Housewives of Orange Country star Gretchen Rossi looked striking in gold trousers teamed with a black top.
