He shot to fame as a child actor when he played chubby Vern Tessio in 80s hit Stand By Me.
But middle-aged Jerry O'Connell was looking in great shape as he ripped off his T-shirt while shooting scenes for his latest TV show in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old was quite the beefcake as he showed off his torso while running down a set of stairs.
And the Jerry Maguire hunk certainly showed no sign of gaining his middle age spread just yet, and was more than happy to prove it again and again as they took multiple takes of the hilarious scene.
The chubby star turned 90s heartthrob was the final piece in the jigsaw in getting the so far untitled comedy pilot by Frasier and How I Met Your Mother mastermind Rob Greenberg off the ground.
It centers on twenty-something Carter, played by Smith, who finds camaraderie living among three more experienced men at a short-term rental complex.
Jerry was originally not available for casting as he had been cast as Herman Munster in NBC’s Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane before the CBS pilot was greenlighted.
CBS restarted its casting efforts last month and quickly homed in on the actor after the their rival network officially passed on their pilot.
One thing is for sure though, it looks like it will be quite a while yet before he returns to the famously podgy shape he was in when he first shot to fame in the 1986 Stephen King adaptation.
And off he goes again: However he seemed a bit out of puff as he tried to keep up with his friends yet again
